In order to see the file extensions you may need to change the settings in your operating system.
If you are using Vista and Windows 7
- Click Start
- Click on Computer
- Click on Organize, then on Folders and Search Options
- Select the View tab
- Under Advanced settings uncheck Hide extensions for known file types
- Click on Apply
- Click OK to exit
If you are using Windows XP
- Click Start, then on My Computer
- In the Tools menu, select Folder Options
- Then select the View tab
- Under Advanced settings uncheck Hide extensions for known file types
- Click on Apply
- Click OK to exit
If you are using Windows 2000 and Windows ME
- On your desktop double-click on My computer
- In the Tools menu, select Folder Options
- Then select the View tab
- Under Advanced settings uncheck Hide extensions for known file types
- Click on Apply
- Click OK to exit
If you are using Mac OS X
- Under Finder, select Preferences
- Click on the Advanced tab, check Show all file extensions
